Yes. Routing rules support conditions based on transaction metadata — category, amount range, payment method, and more. You can define one split for electronics vendors (80% vendor, 15% platform, 5% delivery) and another for food vendors (85% vendor, 10% platform, 5% delivery).

How are rounding remainders handled?

Ocuula uses integer arithmetic (pesewas) for all calculations. When a split produces a remainder — e.g. GHS 100 split three ways at 33.33% — the remainder is assigned to the platform fee recipient. This guarantees the total always reconciles to the original payment amount. No floating-point surprises.

Does it work with Moolre sub-accounts?

Yes. Each recipient can be a Moolre sub-account or an external mobile money / bank account. Ocuula routes disbursements through Moolre's transfer API, which supports both internal sub-account moves and external payouts. Sub-account transfers settle instantly; external transfers follow Moolre's standard settlement timeline.

What happens if a vendor's payout fails?

Accepted Answer

Ocuula retries failed disbursements up to three times with exponential backoff. If all retries are exhausted, the transaction is flagged for manual review and a webhook notification is sent to your system. Other recipients in the same split are not affected by a single failure.

Can I preview a split before it executes?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Ocuula provides a dry-run endpoint that simulates a split calculation without executing any transfers. You can verify the amounts each recipient would receive, including fee deductions and rounding allocations, before committing the transaction.
